DIGIALIST LICENSES ITS HD HYBRID TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM TO ANVIA TV 31.3.2010

Turku, Finland, 31. March 2010 – Digialist Limited, a leading digital television technology platform developer, system integrator and set-top-box turnkey reference design house, announced today that it has licensed its HD Hybrid technology platform to Anvia TV.

 

Digialist HD Hybrid technology platform supports Terrestrial, Cable and Satellite DVB transmissions and integration of different IPTV middleware and services. The HD hybrid technology platform is powered by Digialist Media Engine, a state-of-the-art DVB software stack. Digialist Media Engine is highly modular and easy to port to various hardware platforms. Digialist hardware platform is also modular to allow easy porting of various DVB software stacks and IPTV middlewares. HD hybrid technology platform provides fast time-to-market for various HD products from low-cost zappers to highly advanced twin-tuner PVRs with IP functionality. Digialist offers other reference designs, which are also turnkey solutions targeted for mass-production and easily adjustable for different customer and market needs.

 

Digialist has co-operated, developed and offered set-top-box and PVR turnkey reference designs for Anvia TV to Finnish market for a long time. Anvia TV has long and extensive experience in radio and television broadcasting signal transmission and digital TV receiver industry equipment and services. Anvia TV wants to invest on new IP and HD hybrid technology development along with development resources to service better their customers in Finland. Anvia estimates that DVB-T2 STBs will be the next major volume product family in Finland. Anvia TV sees that new technologies and products have raised special local needs, which are best serviced with flexible and modular platform along with own R&D resources.
